An Open science mural during the "Blended Intensive Programme on Doctoral Education"

From June 29 to July 3, the University of Lille and its Doctoral College hosted 20 doctoral students from seven European universities as part of an exchange program under the Erasmus+ programme.
During this busy week, participants took part in workshops, round-table discussions and visits focusing on a range of topics: research and society, responsible research, sustainable development, research funding, artificial intelligence and open science.
This international event provided an opportunity to launch a new mural aimed at an international audience: the English-language version of the ‘Fresque de la Science ouverte’, known as the ‘Open Science Mural’.
Through collective reflection and discussion, participants were able to explore the main challenges facing contemporary research. Together, they discovered how open scientific practices can help to address issues such as transparency, reproducibility, research integrity, accessibility and knowledge sharing, while taking into account the specific circumstances of each country and each university.
We applaud the twenty participants whose enthusiasm and imagination resulted in the creation of three magnificent murals!
