Support for innovative initiatives

New publication models are currently emerging, driven by scientific communities and by professionals in the field of scientific and technical information, based in particular on participatory funding or a collaborative approach. The University of Lille intends to support these initiatives, which could eventually offer a credible alternative to traditional publication models.

Some examples:

  • participation in open digital textbook projects, such as the history prototype funded by the Ministry - Mission de la pédagogie du numérique pour l'enseignement supérieur, Université Paris Saclay and COUPERIN in 2020,
  • support, when it makes sense, for the deposit of preprints in order to speed up the dissemination of scientific results, alongside the certification processes carried out by peer-reviewed journals,
  • support for initiatives such as Knowledge Unlatched and Peer Community In.
