Managing and disseminating research data, source code, and software
Research data
Need help managing, storing, and disseminating your research data?
We can provide support for all stages of the data lifecycle and for all disciplines, including :
- writing a Data Management Plan
- implementing the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable)
- depositing data in a repository, and in particular in Lillodata, the University of Lille's institutional space in the national Research Data Gouv repository.
- integrating data management issues during the application stage and throughout your ANR projects (find out more)
- auditing data management practices and helping to implement common practices within your research units
- presenting tools for data management, processing, and dissemination via the Fabrique de la Science Ouverte (French only) awareness-raising scheme
- via training sessions for doctoral students with the doctoral college, and workshops for all university staff (find out more on the University of Lille's ENT, French only)
Source code and software
Source code and software have specific issues: they can be tools, products of research and subjects of research, all at the same time. To provide you with the best possible support in terms of development and best practices for dissemination, we can assist you with:
- software management plan templates or advice on how to include your software in your data management plan;
- depositing your source code in HAL and archiving it in Software Heritage to guarantee its long-term availability and reproducibility;
- choosing a software licence based on the goal you have for the dissemination of your source code;
- getting started with platforms, as part of workshops in the Fabrique de la science ouverte awareness-raising scheme, for example on reproducibility and software forges (GitLab, accessible from the ENT);
- training sessions for doctoral students with the Doctoral College (registration via ADUM), and workshops for all university staff.
