[Doctoral training session] Sharing scientific work with integrity: issues and best practices

This training session is part of the Open Science track coordinated by the University of Lille's libraries (Service commun de documentation) and designed in collaboration with the UPHF's libraries (Service commun de documentation).

Programme:

  • Overview and issues of contemporary scientific publishing, information about the publishing process and the various steps of submitting an article.
  • Publish to make your work known: the actors involved in scientific publishing in a context of increasing openness
  • Other forms of scientific communication: preprints, communications in conferences, science popularisation, etc.
  • Publishing with integrity: definitions and frameworks of scientific integrity, issues in the context of knowledge production and dissemination, methods and tools

Objectives: 

  • Understand the publishing process and the economic and intellectual issues underpinning contemporary scientific publishing;
  • Discover the different ways of sharing work in open access;
  • Learn about forms of scientific communication besides scientific publications;
  • Understand the texts and actors involved in scientific integrity, as well as the issues applied to scientific publishing
