This training session is part of the Open Science track coordinated by the University of Lille's libraries (Service commun de documentation) and designed in collaboration with the UPHF's libraries (Service commun de documentation).

Programme:
Understand the procedures for the electronic deposit of your thesis: national procedures and specificities of your institution. By looking at the structuring of the document, the session will highlight the issues involved in archiving and disseminating a digital thesis.
Objectives:
- Anticipate the thesis submission timetable.
- Understand the formalities involved in depositing a thesis: administrative and technical procedures.
- Understand the issues and options for disseminating your thesis (in particular, dissemination within the French university community and Open Access).
- Understand how a digital document is structured: tools for navigating and referencing a digital document (structuring the title page, table of contents, index, keywords, summaries), file formats and organisation, etc.
- Master the notion of authors’ rights (copyright) and intellectual property: ethics, rights, and duties of the PhD student.
- Language: this session is offered in english.
