A number of legal provisions govern the open access dissemination of scientific works. The aim of these pages is to provide an initial level of legal assistance on issues relating to author's rights* and the dissemination of scientific works.

*In France, author's rights (droit d'auteur) are similar, but not identical, to the Anglo-American concept of copyright.
