Over the academic year 2024-2025, the University libraries are organising a series of webinars on open science for members of the University of Lille's research units. Check out the programme!

Open science involves making the results of research accessible to everyone, by removing the technical or financial barriers to access to scientific publications, but also - as far as possible - to the data and methods underlying the publications.

It is now an integral part of public research policy at European, national and local levels. Research funders (the ANR and the European Commission, for example) have established obligations relating to the opening up of research: making publications freely available, drawing up a data management plan and sharing project data where possible.

So whether you're curious, interested or required to do open science, the Open Science webinars are for you!

Gérer mes données dans le cadre d'un projet financé et rédiger mon plan de gestion de données 2 hours	~~Tuesday 15 October 2024, 10am - 12pm~~ Tuesday 22 April 2025, 2pm - 4pm	Understand what funders expect in terms of opening data; Discover the issues involved in managing and disseminating data; Understand what a data management plan is and what it is used for.
Diffuser mes données sur un entrepôt sécurisé 2 hours	~~Thursday 14 November 2024, 10am - 12pm~~ Thursday 15 May 2025, 2pm - 4pm	Learn about the various trusted repositories available for disseminating your data, whether thematic or generalist; Learn how to deposit your data on Lillodata (Recherche Data Gouv).
Gérer mes publications dans le cadre d'un projet financé 90 minutes	~~Tuesday 10 December 2024, 2 pm - 3:30pm~~ Thursday 5 June 2025, 10am - 11.30am	Understand what funders expect in terms of opening up publications; Put together a publication strategy, particularly in the context of a funded project (green/gold/diamond open access, rights retention strategy).
Déposer et diffuser mes publications sur une archive ouverte (LillOA ou HAL) 90 minutes	~~Thursday 23 January 2025, 2pm - 3:30pm~~	Learn how to deposit your publications in LillOA or HAL.
Intégrer la science ouverte dès le montage de mon projet ANR 90 minutes	Friday 7 March 2025, 12:30pm - 2pm	Take into account the issues of open science in the various parts of the detailed proposal for stage 2 of the ANR's Generic call for proposals.
Renforcer ma visibilité grâce à ORCID 1 hour	Thursday 20 March 2025, 10am - 11am	Learn about ORCID, its benefits, how it works and how it interacts with the University of Lille's tools.
